Mrs. Germaine Furaha Mirindi is the Central Africa regional representative. She is a Ph.D researcher in Economics and Rural Development Unit of the University of Liège-Gembloux Agro-Bio Tech on the chain development strategies to regional potential value of rice in the Ruzizi plain of CEPGL countries (Burundi, Rwanda and the R.D.Congo). Her research specialization are on: 1) analysis of the rice sector environment (analysis of the policies implemented, governance and coordination of the value chain, supporting sectors such as input suppliers, finance, research, etc. .) 2) The micro-economic analysis of the value chain (production, processing, marketing and consumption) 3) From the two previous analyzes, SOFT matrix is constructed. 4) Macroeconomic Analysis of the regional value chain of rice development strategies that address the opportunities and strengths of each country are formulated and analyzed. Mrs. Mirindi is also a lecturer at the Faculty of Economics and Management of the Evangelical University in Africa (UEA) Bukavu).
