Dr. Jonathan Makau Nzuma is the Eastern Africa regional representative, and a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Agricultural Economics, University of Nairobi’s Department of Agricultural Economics. Dr. Nzuma holds a PhD in Agricultural Economics and Business from the University of Guelph Canada. He also holds a Msc in Agricultural Economics and a Bsc Agriculture both from the University of Nairobi, Kenya. He specializes in Agricultural Policy, International Trade, Microeconomics, Production Economics, Development Economics, Feasibility Assessments and Research Methods among other research themes. Jonathan has consulted widely with the World Food Programme WFP, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the Regional Strategic Analysis and Knowledge Support System, Eastern and Central Africa (ReSSAKS-ECA) based at the International Livestock Research Centre (ILRI), the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI), the Association for Strengthening Agricultural Research in Eastern and Central Africa (ASARECA), the Food, Agriculture and Natural Resources Policy Analysis Network (FANRPAN), the International Wheat and Maize Improvement Centre (CIMMYT), Eastern Africa Grain Council (EAGC), Eastern Africa Farmers Federation (EAFF), the Kenya Institute for Public Policy Research and Analysis (KIPPRA) and the Institute of Public Policy Research and Analysis (IPAR) on inter alia Agricultural Policy, International Trade Policy, Commodity Markets, Project Monitoring and Evaluation and Financial Analysis.
