The African Association of Agricultural Economists (AAAE), a Nairobi-based professional society has announced the official countdown to the 7th African Conference of Agricultural Economists 2022 (7th ACAE) in the city of Durban, KwaZulu Natal, South Africa. The conference dates will be 19 – 22 September 2022. The four-day conference will feature experts and leaders who are driving the African agricultural revolution vision along with regional and international experts.
“We are excited to announce this conference,” said Guy-Blaise Nkamleu, President of AAAE. “We want to continue to build upon the discussions from our previous successive conferences, especially in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic that’s currently ravaging around the world. We remain fully aware of the difficulties the Covid-19 pandemic has caused the food value-chain in Africa and hopeful that by 2022, the world will have overcome this virus. We also have faith in the city of Durban to deliver a world-class conference given its history. In 2003, it hosted a successful International Conference of Agricultural Economists.”
With assured support from the provincial government of KwaZulu Natal and the Durban KwaZulu-Natal Convention Bureau, the 7th ACAE couldn’t have had a better partner. The AAAE is looking forward to continuing to shape new ideas and collaborate with leaders who share our common goal of creating a brighter future for the African agricultural transformation story.
